politics in the curva Empty
PostSubject: politics in the curva   politics in the curva Icon_minitimeThu Apr 12, 2007 8:50 pm

CN has had a very turbulant past in terms of politics.

inter fans are traditionaly from the richer parts of milano. this is in contrast with milan fans who used to be the labourers of the city, living in more meager areas.

today this gap between social class, has somewhat subsided.

However the Curva Nord continue to be politically motivated, with some groups more so then others.

ultras groups like Milano Nerrazura, Brianza Alcoolica and Ultras inter 1975 seem to be A-political. the former of these groups Milano Nerrazura, used to be known as potere Nerrazura, and in the early stages of the curva's History, they sat on the first ring. this group used to have left wing ideolagy, and they often clashed with the capo of CN Boys. whether or not the transition between potere Nerrazura and milano Nerrazura, has also carried along with it leftwing politics is yet to be seen. in genreal the groups before mentioned are far less controversial then others, and rarly engage in displaying politically motivated sighns.

on the other side of the spectrum, both politically and in position on the curva, we have groups like boys san, Viking and Irriducibili. although in modern time Boys San is not to the extreme right, they did once hold such ideoligy. Today they act as the leaders of the curva, and thus catar for all the groups, by acting in a A-political manner.

Viking Inter is almost the rising star of the Curva. relaitvely new as aposed to the other major groups, Viking Inter is knows to have right wing tendencies, often displaying italian flags, and home to some skins. there political motivation can be seen thorugh their friendship to Blood and Honour Varese. the term Blood and Honour itselfis is a neo-Nazi music promotion network, founded in 1987, that is comprised of white power skinheads.

now to irriducibili inter (indomidables). they are the most right wing group of the curva with extremist beliefs. you can often find many fascist symbols in theur section from celtic crosses to even swasticas. many skinheads stand in the area. they are against all left wing politics with sighns like 'smash the reds"

however Irriducibili, like Milano Nerrazura, also had a preceeding group, a more Violent right wing fraction who were famous for causing trouble and beating up away supporters. the Appropriatly names 'Skins' were a neo-nazi type group who disolves in 1988, via stringent police scrutiny. the leader of the group was a neo-nazi himself, and its evident the politics of skins has reververated into the fabrics which make up the Irriducibili.

In genreal the Curva is nothing short of Nationalisitc with Italian flags always being waved. this is in great contrast however to leftie curva's like that of berrgamo's Atalanta, who kick people out who display the Italian flag.

It really must be noted that Politics is with the Individual and not with the group. yes, its the individuals which make the group, but in the end of the day, ones Political Belief will always come second to the club. so although you do see politics, especially that of right wing, in the curva, the grorups are 100% club first and politics later.

pictures coming up. offcourse this is only a small part of politics in the curva, with more added later hopefully. please engage in some good discussions. the more talk and debate, the better we can understand the inner workings of the curva.

cheers,

Nice article mate, but one thing has changed. Atalanta curva became a political, actually many say that they are right wing now.
