lets look at who our Curva is friends with. friendships forged in the Ultras world can often be as brittle and weak as toothpick, and conversally strong and multilayerd.

CN have had in their 40+ year existense many friends, which over time have these friendships have deteriated. other friendships however remain strong and seem everlasting. whatever the case, Friends in the Ultras scene are very hard to come by, and often result in infighting within the curva, or people being betrayed. lets not forget that were talking about extremists who love their club, thus it makes no sense to side with the fans of other clubs.

so in retrospect most friendships forged can be redirected into a political affiliation with another club, or the mere contempt of another club, bringing two sets of fans together.

In inter case, their friendships can be described as multipronged, with new friends popping up every now and then.

the one stron frienship with Curva Nord, lies in their relationsip to Lazio fans, or primarily the Irriducibili Lazio, who also stand in the north terrace of the stadio olympico. just in case you didnt know Lazio's fans are also right wing, and are imfamous for their monkey chants at black players, displayig the Swastica, shouting chants of 'duce' and performing nazi salutes.

aside from the concrete relationship we have with lazio, a rather surprising and recent friendship has come in the form of Catania. it is alleged that during our meeting this season, a flag from the inter ultras group Banda Bagaj who sit in the curva sud, accidently fell ontop of the Catania supporters. in a show of respect the Flag was retured back to the inter fans. in the same season, inter fans faces Palermo in sicily. Curva Nord unvailed a banner which read "we love Catania", obviosuly this was done to irritate Palermo fans, but it you can see the respect in such actions. although this friendship is not official, it is still a show of respect, which is a rare in todays cut throat ultras world.

past friendships CN has encontered has been with Doria fans, and Hellas Verona ultras. these frienships have collapsed over the years. in Veronas case, a new cocky leader was being a pain in the ass for all concerned, so the friendship was dropped. again Fabio will probably go over other reasons.

international frienships for CN come on the form of ultras yomus who support fc velencia. Fabio knows alot about this friendship, having attented the champiosn league games...

so this is only a brief summary, nfact very brief. the Lazio frienship has many layers, which will be explained. there are also many pictures to come.

another friendship i forgot to mention is that of Viking inter and Blood and Honour Varese.

Varese is a tiny town in Lombardia, the same state as Milano. however forget the geographic ties between the groups, it is the political bond both groups share - extreme right.

the Blood and honour banner can be seen on top of Viking's banner in some of the matches, like the coppa italia final game agaist roma a few seasons back. the viking banner was also seen once at a varese game.

the friendship is a good example of how particular groups in the curva can have their own friendships rather then the curva as a whole.

The Valencia friendship is soon becoming a great one, about 15 from Valencia came over to Milano for a game last week.
